The event, attended by Minister Gohar Nabil alongside representatives from the federation, adidas and WayUp Sports, also marked the first official signing ceremony hosted by adidas at the Ministry, highlighting a shared commitment between the public and private sectors to support the future of Egyptian sport.

The Egyptian Handball Federation has earned its place among Africa’s most successful sporting federations. Over the years, it has won a record-equalling 10 African Men’s Handball Championship titles, including four consecutive victories, lifted the 2019 IHF Men’s Youth World Championship, and consistently ranked among the world’s leading teams with multiple top-four finishes at the Olympic Games. Building on those achievements, the new partnership will ensure Egypt’s national handball teams are equipped with world-class adidas performance apparel, footwear and equipment as they continue competing on both the regional and international stage.

Through the agreement, WayUp Sports, adidas’ official local partner in Egypt, will provide the federation with performance products designed to support athletes throughout training and competition.
